Summer Lovin!

Part 1

Well hello there! There have been so many things that I want to blog about and just not enough time to do it. But lets take a recap of July.

July 1st was celebrated on the 2nd with my mom's family. We ate delicious food and visited on my parents new half finished deck. After lunch a game started that looked fun for the participants and was entertaining to watch for the spectators. It was so great to have all the family around. It doesn't happen often enough. Thanks everyone for coming out!

Mark helping my Dad finish the deck before everyone got there.

Grandad Reading Rye a story.

What a poser!

July 4th Mark and I were able to attend his cousin Heather's wedding. I love weddings! They remind me of my own and I get so excited for the couple. Heather and Kyle's was no exception. They are so great for each other and will love being married! We are so excited for them. Their day was beautiful! Windy, but beautiful. We were able to attend the ceremony and the whole time this baby was doing flips in my belly. It's never been so excited for so long. I guess it recognized what an important event was taking place.
Congratulations Heather and Kyle!

That weekend was the Toth family reunion. I'm slowly starting to learn who everyone is. One day I'll actually feel comfortable enough to call someone by their first name at one of those events until then it was good to get reacquainted with everyone.

It was soo HOT that day so the kids and Mark and Peter had a water fight. It looked very refreshing!

Grandma even helped with providing ammunition.

2 Down 1 to Go!

Can you believe it?! Only one to go! and that one is me! I feel like after Nash arrived there was no time before Brix followed but now that it's my turn, time is in slow motion. Uh!
I love having so many babies around though. Nash is at the stage where he's starting to smile and coo and it's making me sad that we'll be away from family once our baby gets to that stage. But then again even though Brix is just starting to open his eyes and sleeps a lot he's still pretty fun. It's so fun that this baby will have these cousins!

Nash-6 weeks, Brix-1 week, Kami-33 weeks
(In my defense, it was really hot!)

How far along? 33 Weeks, 3 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 30lbs??
Maternity clothes? My wonderful friend Jade actually let me borrow a bunch of her maternity clothes. It's basically saved my life! I have gotten a few tops too but bottoms have been so hard to find for me.
Stretch marks? Not that I know of.
Sleep: Sleep is getting harder. I've been sleeping a lot lately! Sleeping and AND taking a nap some days. I'm not the biggest fan because I feel like I'm wasting away the day but I never have that groggy feeling like I've slept too much...
Best moment so far: Buying stuff for the baby. Sometimes it actually feels like we're going to have a baby... and sometimes it doesn't.
Have you told family and friends: Yes! We told everyone at 13 weeks.
Miss Anything? I miss not being pregnant haha. I miss having clothes that fit and were comfortable. I miss sleeping.
Movement: Our baby still moves a lot but it's been a lot nicer about it lately. Less kicking and jabbing, more squirming and summersaulting.
Food cravings: Milk and yogurt are still a favorite. I could live off of those.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing in particular but my stomach hasn't been happy lately.
Have you started to show yet: Yes, I'm huge! I'm actually not, I just feel that way.
Gender prediction: No idea! Most signs (which are mostly inaccurate) say that it's a boy. I'm carrying low, it has a low heart rate...
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Out...
Wedding rings on or off? On! Hopefully I can make it all the way through with them.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Weekly Wisdom: Yay for cool weather.
Looking forward to: Summer! I'm not excited to be hot all the time but I'm excited to get in some camping before this baby comes.

1 down, 2 to go!

Well lets start with a baby update.

How far along? 30 Weeks, 2 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 25lbs maybe
Maternity clothes? My wonderful friend Jade actually let me borrow a bunch of her maternity clothes. It's basically saved my life! I have gotten a few tops too but bottoms have been so hard to find for me.
Stretch marks? Nope!
Sleep: the past couple nights I've been pretty restless for some reason which leaves me feeling tired all day:( I've also been pretty sore when I wake up...
Best moment so far: Having the baby move soo much!
Have you told family and friends: Yes! We told everyone at 13 weeks
Miss Anything? I miss being skinny. I know I'm lucky because I haven't gotten that big but I miss how I looked and how comfortable it was.
Movement: This kid moves soo much! It's not very nice about it either. I swear I have the Hulk growing inside of me. Maybe I'm just a pansy but there are so many times when I actually wince because it's just kicked me so hard!
Food cravings: Milk and yogurt are a favorite right now and popsicles but I can contribute that to the increased temperature. I don't know how I'm going to survive this summer.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mornings actually and having an empty stomach.
Have you started to show yet: It was Emily's grad this weekend and we got a picture with her. I haven't had a picture taken of me for a while and when I looked at it I felt huge! It seems like lately there have been a lot of people who have been shocked that I'm pregnant because they had no idea until they saw me.
Gender prediction: No idea! Mark still refers to it as Son so it's natural to call it 'he' but when I think of having this baby at Christmas or introducing it to it's uncles who are on missions I see a girl.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Out... most of the time.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Weekly Wisdom: Buy more popsicles!
Looking forward to: Lauren having her baby! I also see the OB for the first time tomorrow which is exciting, one step closer to having this baby! :)

In other news...
Congratulations Emily!
Isn't she gorgeous! She's the student body president so she got to speak at the ceremonies and she did such a great job! It was so fun to be at the house while she was getting all dressed up and then when her date came to pick her up.

Count Them One By One

Yesterday was a good day. It was a day where I couldn't help but recognize how blessed I am!

Number 1. It started with first thing this morning as I woke up next to my husband. My most incredible, loving husband. We had a few moments to lay there together and he made me laugh, like he always does. Soon after he left for work, I got a call from my mother. Last night my brother-in-law Jeff had called us to share the news that Lindsey had given birth to a healthy 9 lb. 7 oz boy! Nash Braden Hill. Both mom and baby were doing great! I could not wait to meet him! This morning my mom had not so great news. She told me about the scary night that she had. Just after midnight Lindsey hemorrhaged. Her blood pressure dropped dangerously low and she was taken into the OR. She was given a blood transfusion there and then they performed a D&C. In recovery she received another blood transfusion. As of that morning she was doing great. Blessing number 2
I got up and began my day with packing being the big event on my agenda. As I looked around my house I was a little overwhelmed...until my doorbell rang. It was my adorable two nephews and my beautiful mother! My mother is someone I look up to; there is nothing that she can't do and she is so willing to help and share those talents! She got to work right away and started knocking things off my list and I started to feel like things were getting done. Blessing 3. I'm so glad I have such a wonderful mom!
Soon after Lauren and Ryenn showed up. My house was filled with people I love and I loved it! My nephew's and niece running around boxes chasing each other, asking Grandma to read them a book or get them a snack and then there was my mom and Lauren helping me accomplish what I needed to that day. Blessing 4- I love that we live close enough to enjoy the blessing of having family.
Everyone left around lunch time to get ready for a trip into Lethbridge to go see the Hills and I got to see my handsome husband again when he came home for lunch. Blessing 5, we got to eat and talk together and I got another kiss before he left.
After he left I met up with my family again and we piled into 2 vehicles and headed into Lethbridge. Tyler let me help him with his car seat and give him a kiss. He even looked right at me and smiled! Blessing 6. His progress excites me so much!
I drove in with my parents, Landon and Tyler. I got to sit in the back seat next to a sleeping Landon and watch my parents. They are still so much in love and as I watch them together it reminds me of Mark and I, of the relationship that we have been working hard to have over the past year and a half. Blessing 7- Thank you Mom and Dad for showing me what it's supposed to be like.
As we walked into the hospital Jeff was waiting for us at the entrance and his boys were soo excited to see him! We then went upstairs to meet baby Nash. It's incredible how exciting it is to meet a new niece or nephew, just another little person to love! Blessing 8. I'm so glad Nash arrived healthy and that I get to be a part of his life.

I got home, packed up the car and took our first load over to the Drew's. I met my husband there and got another kiss and then everyone helped with unloading the car. Peter and Natalie came back with us to the house to get our mattress and a couple other things. Within an hour we were all moved in. Blessing 9-having in-laws who are always on call.
Blessing 10- having a husband who handled an emotional pregnant lady like a champ! As we unpacked our things last night I was exhausted which these days seems to be a dangerous thing. I hate that I get so emotional but it happens and both Mark and I get to just deal with it. I'm so grateful that he can make it all better and as I laid in bed listening to the noises of a new house I was grateful that no matter where I might be, the person who lays beside me at night will never change. I love him :)
