Everyday Love

As usual, Max is the cutest thing ever! He consumes most of my day and I'm so grateful that I get to stay home and watch him grow! I've heard people say, "They grow way too fast! Enjoy it while they're young!" or "Don't you just want them to stop growing?" Call me crazy but I don't! I don't think he's growing up too fast and I never want him to stop growing! I don't want time to stand still, I don't want him to be little forever. Of course I try to enjoy everyday, and lots of times I feel like things have happened all-of-a-sudden. He all-of-a-sudden figured out how to use our water bottles, he all-of-a-sudden knew how to work his vibrating teething toy, he all-of-a-sudden recognized his name! But never have I felt like time was moving too fast, in fact it's just perfect! Any slower and I don't think I could bare it and any faster I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. Maybe it's because it's my first or maybe it's not. What ever the reason is I'm excited for him to learn new things and I'm excited to watch him on the way!

Max has some new tricks, like sitting up!

He does really well for the most part but he still is a little tipsy.
He has also found his tongue! It's probably the cutest/funniest thing ever!

He's also figuring out how to be the cutest sleeper ever!

That face cracks me up!
AND...
He's drooling! Although that is nothing new but he's doing it a lot more than before.
Teething? Possibly.

Notice the spit bubble? Yep he's pretty talented.

We have also given him more... almost solids. This is a video of him trying peas for the first time.

In other news...
Mark made dinner.
It was awesome and delicious! He even told me he wanted to take a turn once a week. I won't complain about that.

Mark grew up with his dad making pizza, very good pizza. Over the holidays while his dad was making some for the masses to devour (which we did) Mark decided to watch and learn his secrets. He put it to the test on Monday and it was a success! There are a few things that we'll know better for next time (like halving the dough recipe) but I'm looking forward to more pizza!
Lots more pizza!

Welcome 2013

I'm exhausted and my house is a mess and I really don't feel like cleaning it right now so instead I'm going to blog. I don't have anything special to blog about and I'm not going to pretend that I do so my thoughts might be super random.

I'm so excited about this year! One of the first exciting things we did this year was give Max solids... very liquidy solids. I know we kinda jumped the gun. They say you're supposed to wait until they are 6 months old, well Megan and Kyle got Max a Baby Bullet for Christmas and I have been too excited to use it! I've been reading their recipes and charts. Cleaning Max's special little spoons anxiously waiting for his 6 month mark. Well we were eating dinner the other night and Max was in his Bumbo thing on the table while we ate. The whole time he kept reaching for our food no matter what toy we tried distracting him with. Well he happened to turn 5 months that day and we had also received a rice cereal sample in the mail. So I caved. We mixed up a little bit, strapped a bib around his neck and gave him his first bite...

Yep he loved it! and he ate it like a champ! It took him a couple bites to get the swallowing thing down but he did so good!

I gave him a little bit the next 2 days but soon found out that it made him super gassy! So he's back to his original diet and I guess we'll wait until he's 6 months to try something new.

Here are some more pictures of Mr. Max cuz I know that's why you're all here.

All bundled up for a walk! Cutest bear you've ever seen!

In other news...
2013 brings another missionary in our family! Yep. Emily has been called to the Halifax Nova Scotia mission. She reports January 30th and we are so excited for her! She will be an awesome missionary! We are also excited for us! (Selfish. I know) But having missionaries serve is such a great blessing to our family! So thank you Em! We love you lots! Nova Scotia is lucky to have you.

Exciting, I know! But there's more exciting things that will be happening this year! Mainly this...

and this...
(Stole it form Facebook. Hope ya don't mind)

Yup! My best friends are getting married.
(They seem to like to do things about the same time.)

And it's so EXCITING!!
I'll be honest I felt super left out when they started throwing out the "M" word and these men were still complete strangers but since then I've met one and the other I follow on Instagram so it's pretty much like meeting him...right?
Either way, I have come to the conclusion that they are awesome! And they had better be cuz they have the heart of someone that is very special so me. Most of all I've gotten to see that Anthony makes Jodi happy and that Spencer make Kait happy. That's pretty much all I need. Marriage is the best and I'm so excited that they get to experience it!
The other reason why I'm so excited that they are getting married is because I'm going to their wedding! I've had a small hole in my heart for almost 2 years now. March 18, 2011 was my wedding, the best day of my life and neither one of these incredible women were there to share it with me. They were doing better things, I know, but it still left a hole. A hole that I'm hoping will be filled when I get to be there for their special day. Yup that's right, I'm not going to their wedding for them. I'm going for me.

After that more exciting things are going to happen!... But I really only know of 1 at the moment and that 1 is soo exciting!
Elder Moojalsky comes home!!!
(again, stolen from Facebook)

Welcome 2013! I can't wait to get to know you better!

Home For the Holidays

We had an incredible Christmas holiday! It was so much fun to be back in Alberta and to see so many people that we love!
We knew that things would be pretty busy before Christmas so the first thing we did when we got back was meet up with these wonderful people! We feel so blessed to have such amazing friends. We have so much fun together!

Pepper Jack, Cambrioleur and Mr. Max hanging out with Uncle James!

The next night we headed out to Mountain View to watch the Christmas Program! One of my favorite parts of Christmas! I loved being in it when I was going to school in Mountain View and honestly I wish I could still be in it...but I can't so I'll just watch it instead.
My favorite part of the whole program was the nativity!

Mikhail was in it too and even though he complains about it, once he gets on stage he gives it his all and he does a great job!

We also got to see some more important people!
I just love this girl! It was so good to see her!

We also got to see these lovely people which doesn't happen very often so we are so glad that we did. Love em!
After the program there was a dance and of course Santa came!
Does Santa look familiar to you?

The next day we had the opportunity to attend Adam and Jane's wedding. I got to briefly meet Jane in the summer when they had only been dating for a bit and since then we have been routing for them to get hitched. They are so good together and we couldn't be happier for them!

Christmas Eve was spent with the cousins on the Toth side. It started off with a toonie lunch and then we played some basketball! It was so much fun but I was so tired! I hadn't exercised since Max was born and my competitive side might have made me over do it...BUT I survived and it was a lot of fun!

Later we got together again for a beautiful and delicious dinner at the Toths!

We played a couple games. Some organized...
and some not.

Later Grandpa handed out some presents and we watched a couple short Christmas videos.

After the Toth party finished we headed back to open our Christmas pajamas!

Christmas morning!
Max loved the bows!

Natalie figuring out that she's going to Taylor Swift!!!

Waiting for breakfast with Hub.

This might be my favorite present Max got. Isn't it the cutest! Thanks Nat!

And of course some mini floor hockey.

That night Max got a bath from Dad and Uncle Ben.
The next morning we headed out to the ranch to celebrate with my family.

The boys got matching outfits. Aren't they the cutest!

Cousins!

My handsome men!

I also was lucky enough to hang out with these crazy kids to take some engagement pictures! Aren't they cute!
