Smarty Pants!

I cut my self an apple, grab the peanut butter jar and go to sit on the couch. All the while Max is watching intently. As soon as I sit down he starts to whine. He knows I have food and no one is allowed to eat unless he's eating! So I cut A piece from my apple and pull him up on the couch beside me and give it to him. I continue to dip my apple slices in the peanut butter while he happily sucks his slice and then this happens...
I guess he wanted some peanut butter too.

7 Months

Mr. Max @ 7 months!

  • He weighs around 18lbs.
  • He finally rolled from his back to his stomach today!
  • He's started sticking his tongue out when he gets excited. It's THE cutest thing ever!
  • He loves food! He wants whatever I'm eating. He stares at me while I eat lunch.
  • He loves people. He's played strange a few times but for the most part he's excited about anyone that will smile at him.
  • He's learning how to feed himself. He's been successful a handful of times and it was all with his left hand. Mark's trying not to get too excited.
  • He goes to bed around 8 and usually gets up around 7. Sometimes he falls back asleep for an hour.
  • He usually wakes up grumpy...or starving. He's good after he eats.
  • He has a tooth! and there is less drool.
  • He's a pro at sitting up.
  • When he's on his back he'll lift his head up to try to sit up, like he's doing mini crunches.

Watching cars go by on our way home from Alberta.

That tongue kills me!

In other news,
We were able to attend Tisa and Jonathan's wedding. I'm so glad we could be there! It was incredible! I'm so excited for them!

Love her!

Something Different

Some inspirational thoughts I had this week
came from the  CES broadcast Sunday night, which was awesome. Elder Bednar really got me thinking about my faith in Christ. The word 'thinking' doesn't do justice to the impact of that talk on me. It shook my whole world! If you haven't listened to it, you should. (I think you have to give them a couple days to put it up again so check back later.)

Yesterday for FHE we read a talk by President Harold B. Lee, The Constitution For a Perfect Life
"If one feels strong surges of happiness and desire from the quiet of a happy home, from the unfolding of a beautiful life, from the revelation of divine wisdom, or from a love for the beautiful, the true and good, he is having a taste of the fulness of the joy that the living of a rich full life only can bring."

President Lee discusses the Sermon on the Mount and the eight ways Jesus has given us that we might have joy.

Blessed are the poor in spirit.
Blessed are they that mourn.
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness.
Blessed are the pure in heart.
Blessed are the meek.
Blessed are the merciful.
Blessed are the peacemakers.
Blessed are they which are persecuted.

In other news....
We had a fun trip back to Alberta for reading week.
We got to see lots of important people.

The main reason for the trip was for Jodi and Anthony's wedding. It was a beautiful day! I'm so glad that we could be there! I'm so excited for these two! I couldn't be happier for them. They are a great pair!

This weekend we are going back to Alberta for Tisa's Wedding and then all 3 of us will be married!

We also got to visit all of our grandparents.
Some people think that Max looks like John.

We got to visit with Johnny and Jaqui too. Max and Jack got to play together/fight over toys. It's crazy how much our boys have grown since we've seen each other last. I'm so grateful that we have such awesome friends and I'm so excited for Max and Jack to be friends!

They were so cute to watch!

We Also got to meet Spencer! Yay!
We took a trip to Waterton with Spencer and Kait with the intention of snowshoeing only to find out it was way too windy!! So we played around in the snow for a bit and then went back for some hot chocolate and cookies. It was a fun day and I'm glad that we finally got to meet Spencer. And we think he's awesome! Like we thought we would. I can not wait until we get together again, though by that time I think they'll be Mr. and Mrs. Bittle.
My camera got wet so that's why there's the awesome edge blur!

Since we've been home Max has cut a tooth. Finally! It's been along time coming. He's also been kinda grumpy. Thinking he needs to be held all the time. I'm not sure if I should blame that on his tooth or his grandparents, aunts and uncles...
