Count Them One By One

Yesterday was a good day. It was a day where I couldn't help but recognize how blessed I am!

Number 1. It started with first thing this morning as I woke up next to my husband. My most incredible, loving husband. We had a few moments to lay there together and he made me laugh, like he always does. Soon after he left for work, I got a call from my mother. Last night my brother-in-law Jeff had called us to share the news that Lindsey had given birth to a healthy 9 lb. 7 oz boy! Nash Braden Hill. Both mom and baby were doing great! I could not wait to meet him! This morning my mom had not so great news. She told me about the scary night that she had. Just after midnight Lindsey hemorrhaged. Her blood pressure dropped dangerously low and she was taken into the OR. She was given a blood transfusion there and then they performed a D&C. In recovery she received another blood transfusion. As of that morning she was doing great. Blessing number 2
I got up and began my day with packing being the big event on my agenda. As I looked around my house I was a little overwhelmed...until my doorbell rang. It was my adorable two nephews and my beautiful mother! My mother is someone I look up to; there is nothing that she can't do and she is so willing to help and share those talents! She got to work right away and started knocking things off my list and I started to feel like things were getting done. Blessing 3. I'm so glad I have such a wonderful mom!
Soon after Lauren and Ryenn showed up. My house was filled with people I love and I loved it! My nephew's and niece running around boxes chasing each other, asking Grandma to read them a book or get them a snack and then there was my mom and Lauren helping me accomplish what I needed to that day. Blessing 4- I love that we live close enough to enjoy the blessing of having family.
Everyone left around lunch time to get ready for a trip into Lethbridge to go see the Hills and I got to see my handsome husband again when he came home for lunch. Blessing 5, we got to eat and talk together and I got another kiss before he left.
After he left I met up with my family again and we piled into 2 vehicles and headed into Lethbridge. Tyler let me help him with his car seat and give him a kiss. He even looked right at me and smiled! Blessing 6. His progress excites me so much!
I drove in with my parents, Landon and Tyler. I got to sit in the back seat next to a sleeping Landon and watch my parents. They are still so much in love and as I watch them together it reminds me of Mark and I, of the relationship that we have been working hard to have over the past year and a half. Blessing 7- Thank you Mom and Dad for showing me what it's supposed to be like.
As we walked into the hospital Jeff was waiting for us at the entrance and his boys were soo excited to see him! We then went upstairs to meet baby Nash. It's incredible how exciting it is to meet a new niece or nephew, just another little person to love! Blessing 8. I'm so glad Nash arrived healthy and that I get to be a part of his life.

I got home, packed up the car and took our first load over to the Drew's. I met my husband there and got another kiss and then everyone helped with unloading the car. Peter and Natalie came back with us to the house to get our mattress and a couple other things. Within an hour we were all moved in. Blessing 9-having in-laws who are always on call.
Blessing 10- having a husband who handled an emotional pregnant lady like a champ! As we unpacked our things last night I was exhausted which these days seems to be a dangerous thing. I hate that I get so emotional but it happens and both Mark and I get to just deal with it. I'm so grateful that he can make it all better and as I laid in bed listening to the noises of a new house I was grateful that no matter where I might be, the person who lays beside me at night will never change. I love him :)
