Max

...because that's all we ever talk about around here.

He's figured out how to pull himself up and he loves to stand.
I found him like this one day. He'd sat himself inside his toy bin. Obviously not very happy about it.
My two handsome men enjoying the beautiful weather!
Wasn't a huge fan of the grass.
This boy has some adorable faces! I just love them!
This is Mark's favorite face

Brace Yourself!

Are you ready for this?!

We cut Max's hair...

No, you weren't ready for it? I don't think I was either. I've been thinking about doing it for a long time. I've never been a fan of long hair on boys unless its curly and although Max did have a bit of curl to his hair, the hair that was hanging over his ears and his collar was driving me nuts. Yes I could have trimmed it yet again, but I knew that he would have to get a real hair cut eventually so why not now? Mark says that I did it just because I like change and there may be some truth to that...
 Before
During- he wasn't a huge fan of the clippers.
After
Last night before bed I was pretty sad about it. It felt like a part of Max had died. You might think I'm being dramatic but that's exactly what happened. His hair was a big part of who he was. He was the cute baby with the awesome, beautifully colored hair! And now he has a very nice head...
But I'm ok with it. He's still cute, we still love him and his hair will grow back.

Our Break

We spent about 10 days in Alberta in between semesters. I was hoping that I would get a little relief from Mom duty for a bit but Max is a stinker and recently decided that nobody is as cool as Mom. I love the extra snuggles but it's taking its toll on my lower back. Mark also worked a couple days so really our break wasn't much of a break but we did enjoy spending some time with family!!

Moose (the dog) has a problem with Max. He's definitely not a fan of how much attention this little person steals. We were taking a picture of Nana and Hub with Max and Moose thought that he should be in the picture too and hopped on Nana's lap. We thought it was pretty funny.

We also got to spend an evening with these lovely people! We are so blessed to have such awesome friends!
Jack is about 6 weeks younger than Max but he's a little bit bigger and a lot more mobile! Max mostly just sat and watched as Jack made his way all over the place. This was pretty much the only time he was sitting still and the only picture that I got of them.
We also got to celebrate this cute boys first birthday (which is actually tomorrow). Happy Birthday Nashy!

 Mark's such a good uncle!

While we were at the ranch my mom and I made a quilt for Max and then we invited my Grandma over to quilt it with us. It was my first time trying to quilt and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be! But I loved spending the day with these incredible women and I love that Max will have something made from them.

And now it's back to school. It never ends!
